Gay Friendly Country Inn Bed and
Breakfast Ripe near Lewes The Lamb Inn Gay Friendly Pub Bed and Breakfast, Church Lane, Ripe, South Downs National Park, near Lewes ![]() Website to be launched soon so in meantime phone James on 01323 811810 for enquiries and bookings The Lamb Inn sits in the sleepy village of Ripe on the fringe of The South Downs National Park and is just shy of 8 miles from Lewes in the county of East Sussex. The Lamb Inn is a quintessentially old English village pub; however the Lamb Inn at Ripe has a delicious secret and it’s not just the amazingly good food that’s served here, it’s the stunning accommodation, you see the Ripe Inn has three gorgeous bedrooms (or should I say boudoirs) with a style brief of classical French with more than a nod to the Regency period. The Bridal Suite is just to die for and has a stunning Louis XV French bed & the en-suite is pure luxury equipped with a large Jacuzzi with overhead monsoon shower, & the room is lit by a beautiful crystal chandelier. The remaining 2 bedrooms have stunning antique pine floors & delicately finished ceiling roses enhanced with crystal chandeliers and share an exquisite bathroom, which has been transformed into a stunning, relaxing room & includes a freestanding Victorian bath and overhead monsoon shower. The bathroom has a crystal chandelier and beautiful black flock wallpaper which gives the room an elegant and spectacular look. Downstairs is everything a village pub should be: roaring log fire for chilly lunch times and cosy evenings, a large walled garden and barbeque perfect for eating and drinking outside on warm days and balmy evenings. Food is a big draw at the Lamb Inn and the menu is an unpretentious yet delicious mix of good honest pub food (no boil in the bag or ping cuisine here) including locally caught cod with chips, their classic "Lamb Inn" shank in mint sauce, steak and ale pie are always supported with daily contemporary specials. James the friendly and hard working owner has poured his heart and soul into the Lamb Inn and what a fabulous job he has done too. There is a good mix of clientele with friendly locals and visitors from far and wide. The day I was there the car park said it all: old cars like mine sat alongside gleaming Bentleys and flashy sports cars so don’t be surprised if you spot some well-known faces here, as the Lamb Inn is becoming quite the in place to be seen. |
