The county of East Sussex was formed by over a thousand years of
history with its beautiful green fields being sites of many great
battles. East Sussex is home to many castles. the most famous being
Hastings Castle built in 1066 following the invasion of Britain by
William the Conqueror. The counties of Kent, Surrey and West Sussex

therefore only part of East Sussex for ceremonial occasions. East

go llama trekking, see a 69 metre high chalk man on a hillside and
see the famous Beachy Head cliff that rises some 530 feet above sea
level and is reputably the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain.
